What is RSS?

RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) is a format that allows users to track and view regularly updated web content from a single location. By using an RSS feed, you can avoid the inconvenience of manually checking multiple websites for new content each day. A simple way to think of an RSS feed is as a subscription to a particular website.

How do I read an RSS feed?

RSS feeds can be read with a program called an aggregator, which periodically searches your selected websites for updates and puts the new content together in one website with some simple navigation features for sorting through the information. Some popular RSS readers include:

WindowsFeedDemon | MacNetNewsWire | Web BrowserGoogle Reader
