The National Democratic Institute (NDI) for International Affairs, a non-partisan organization working to support and strengthen democratic institutions worldwide, held a consultative meeting in Karachi, Pakistan, with parliamentary leaders of the Sindh Assembly on Thursday.

The meeting titled "Strong parliamentary parties mean strong democracy" was held in the Sindh Assembly building. The NDI delegation, headed by former deputy prime minister of Canada Sheila Copps, and parliamentary leaders of the PPP, MQM and PML-F, Pir Mazharul Haq, Syed Sardar Ahmed and Jam Madad Ali respectively, attended the meeting.
