Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has emphasized that democracy had taken roots in Pakistan. He expressed these views while meeting with Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Chair of the National Democratic Institute who called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Washington.
Madeleine Albright praised the Pakistani nation on the historic transfer of power from one civilian government to the next following the May 11 elections.
