Alina Ruzmetova
Alina Ruzmetova currently works in communications at the Ethisphere Institute, an organization that brings together leading global companies to define and promote best practices for ethics and compliance. Previously Ms. Ruzmetova was an Online Communications and PR Associate at GoodWeave International where she developed and implemented communications campaigns. Before that, she was Media/Communications Associate at the U.S.-Russia Business Council where she managed a portfolio of media partnerships and communications.
Ms. Ruzmetova has experience working with the United Nations in various capacities. Earlier in her career, she worked with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Human Security Cluster where she tackled such issues as human rights, land mine contamination, and small arms control. More recently, she worked pro bono with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Ukraine to successfully secure long-term housing for a group of elderly and disabled internally displaced persons (IDPs) evacuated from the conflict zone in the country's east.
Ms. Ruzmetova is currently working on her Master's Degree in Global Communication from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from Ohio Wesleyan University where she served as Class President and delivered the student commencement address.
