Mr. Asoka Obeyesekere is the Country Director of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) Sri Lanka. He is a Barrister & Political Scientist with over 15 years of experience, specializing in diverse areas of governance and anti-corruption including Right to Information, Open Government, Abuse of State Resources, Proceeds of Crime and Campaign Finance. He has previously served as the Executive Director of Transparency International Sri Lanka. His breadth of experience spans both the private sector and think-tanks in Sri Lanka and the UK. 

He holds an MPA from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and an LLB from Queen Mary College, University of London. He was called to the Bar at the Inner Temple and the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
