Elizabeth Kekeris
Elizabeth Kekeris is communications director for the International Masonry Institute (IMI), a labor-management partnership for the union masonry industry. With a focus on digital-first approaches, Elizabeth has expertise in persuasive storytelling and creating useful, usable content on the web. During her time at IMI, Elizabeth has helped lead several high-profile initiatives, including IMI’s highly attended webinar series, a rebranding campaign, apprenticeship recruitment toolkits, and, most recently, a website redesign.
Prior to joining IMI, Elizabeth worked at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), where she was a key player on the team responsible for the association’s web redesign. She also led the Society’s social media strategy and was responsible for making social the top referral source to ASCE’s news site. Elizabeth helped to promote many of the Society’s major programs, including the IMAX movie Dream Big: Engineering Our World and The Report Card for America’s Infrastructure, two important public outreach tools. She was invited on numerous occasions to speak at membership association conferences and events, including the American Society of Association Executive’s (ASAE’s) Annual Membership and Marketing Conference.
Before her time at ASCE and IMI, Elizabeth specialized in developing web and social media content for a large portfolio of clients at a Baltimore-based digital marketing agency. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys participating in living history events and training her German Shepherd, Luna.
