NDI 1993, Political Parties; Cambodia

Kate Head started work with NDI in 1993 in one of the first field offices working with political parties for the 1993 UN Sponsored Cambodia elections.  Later, she worked in 15 countries with NDI after that—some short term assignments and some year-long commitments. Kate worked with political parties, but her later NDI assignments focused on civic coalitions or groups focused on advocacy, communications and election monitoring.

Today, Kate is a strategic communications consultant that often works with government and civil society on economic, stability and service reforms for USAID projects.  She still remains actively engaged on democracy issues, and often encounters NDI alumni and staff in the field that continue to work for social change.
