Seto Akinjiola
Seto Akinjiola joins NDI as the Interim Chief Human Resources Officer where she will lead the human capital team and associated people strategy for the Institute. In her previous role as the Chief People and Culture Officer for the Union of Concerned Scientists, Ms. Akinjiola oversaw all facets of human capital strategy and operations, encompassing equity and inclusion, talent development, employee relations, culture cultivation, innovation, and alignment with the mission and vision of UCS.
With a distinguished career spanning various organizations, Ms. Akinjiola has demonstrated her leadership prowess in HR management. Her previous roles include spearheading HR functions at Generation, You Employed, the Fair Labor Association, Greenpeace USA, Pan American Development Foundation, and the International Center for Research on Women. She possesses extensive expertise in human resource policy formulation, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Akinjiola holds a master’s degree in international management and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Afro-American studies from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Seto enjoys quality time with her family, gardening, and DIY home projects in her spare time.
