This guidebook aims to help young women with all aspects of leadership, from balancing personal and professional responsibilities to planning and implementing advocacy projects. The guidebook is designed as a workbook rather than a textbook, with charts and exercises for readers to chart their progress. It also includes a section on how to use new media tools and social networking sites effectively.

Mauritania Youth Receive Leadership Training

Dozens of youths from different parts of Mauritania gathered in Nouakchott to attend a three-day leadership and communication training workshop focusing on public policy.

The training ended on Saturday (January 18th) and was organised by an NGO called "Citizens Standing" (CCD) in partnership with the Cultural Co-operation and Action Department (SCAC) of the French embassy in Mauritania and the US National Democratic Institute (NDI).

Mauritanian government officials and young people recently met for two days in Nouadhibou to discuss ways to improve the city.

The Youth Dialogue Forum in Nouadhibou, "Citoyennes et Citoyens Debout" (Citizens Standing) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) organised the December 16th-17th event.

The Kenya Inter-Party Youth Forum (KPYF) has yesterday ended a five day peer-to-peer visit in Sierra Leone where the association interacted with members of the All Political Parties Association (APPYA) in Sierra Leone.
