"Qatar and the U.S. continue to benefit from a number of partnerships between the government, businesses and civil society organizations, according to a U.S. government official who is in Qatar to discuss various tie-ups and future plans.
"A number of other partnerships include one between the US-based Solitary Center and the National Human Rights Committee, which will be looking at improving labor conditions and rights for workers in Qatar. The National Democratic Institute will also be working with the Municipal Council to assist with local governance and related issues."
