"The National Democratic Institute has concluded its pre-election assessment with a call for improved transparency if Zambia is to have credible elections on 20th of September, 2011.
"Delegation co-leader Ketumile Masire, who is the former president of Botswana, says there is need for concerted efforts if Zambia is to hold credible and peaceful elections. Mr. Masire says broad citizen participation combined with responsible actions by all stakeholders will contribute to electoral integrity and build public confidence."
