Overview

NDI has supported international advocacy on behalf of Myanmar since 1995 and provided assistance to civil society organizations inside Myanmar to monitor parliamentary and sub-national elections since 2010. .From 2016 to 2021, NDI provided a range of support to the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, the national parliament, and provided resources and services to Members of Parliament through the Parliamentary Resource Center.

In the aftermath of the 2021 military coup, NDI remains actively committed to supporting the people of Myanmar in their struggle for democracy, providing assistance to a range of pro-democracy actors.
