Where We Work
Venezuela
Overview
NDI began working in Venezuela in the mid-1990s in response to requests for international exchanges and information on comparative approaches to democratic governance. After closing its office in Venezuela in 2011, NDI has continued to offer resource materials on democratic processes upon request, including international approaches to electoral transparency, political process monitoring and civic and political organizing. The Institute also fosters dialogue among Venezuelans and international civic and political peers on issues of mutual interest.
