Megan Poole
Megan Poole is the Internationl Government Affairs Coordinator for Chevron. In this capacity, she supports business success in countries where Chevron operates and helps manage policy issues including sanctions, international trade, and regional issues in Europe, Eurasia, and the Middle East.
Megan joined Chevron in 2017 from the Atlantic Council, where she held various positions managing programs on Europe and Eurasia since 2014. Previously, she served in the executive office of the US Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus and with the Political, Security, and Development section of the Delegation of the European Union in Washington, DC. Megan also worked as an English-language instructor in Seoul, South Korea.
Megan participated in the 2016 Hanns Seidel Memorial Fellowship and was awarded a 2013 European Union Center of Excellence Graduate Summer Research Fellowship. She holds a MA in Political Science from the Transatlantic Master's Program at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill where she was UNC's first ever DACOR Bacon House Foundation Fellow. As part of her graduate study, Megan took courses and conducted research for one year at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands. A North Carolina native, Megan also completed her BA with highest honors and distinction in Peace, War, and Defense and Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill.
