NDI POLL: GEORGIANS EXPECT ECONOMIC DECLINE AND CHALLENGES AHEAD, BUT REMAIN STEADFAST IN THEIR STATED AIM OF EUROPEAN AND EURO-ATLANTIC INTEGRATION
TBILISI – Poll results released today by the National Democratic Institute (NDI or the Institute) and CRRC Georgia show that the Russian invasion of Ukraine has amplified Georgian’s views that Georgia would benefit from a closer relationship with EU and NATO rather than with Russia. Security concerns emanating from Russian aggression have led to a marked increase in public perception that Russia is a threat to its neighbors.

NDI Poll: Opportunities and Challenges Facing Ukraine’s Democratic Transition
The National Democratic Institute (NDI) has released the results of its latest national survey in Ukraine. According to the study, completed in July - August 2021, Ukrainians remain united in their desire for the country's democratic future. Although the overall mood in the country is less optimistic compared to previous waves, people in Ukraine are still politically engaged and are willing to provide their input to the government.
NDI AND IRI EXPERT TEAMS ENCOURAGE GEORGIAN POLITICAL PARTIES TO ENGAGE IN GOOD FAITH AROUND THE OCTOBER 2 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS AND IN THE RESULTING POLITICAL PROCESS
WASHINGTON – Expert teams from the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) are visiting Tbilisi immediately ahead of the October 2, 2021, municipal elections and are calling on all political parties to uphold democratic principles by participating actively and in good faith during the elections and in the post-election period.
