TUNIS, Tunisia — Today, the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) joint international election observation mission released its preliminary statement with findings and recommendations following Tunisia’s runoff presidential election.
When NDI opened its doors in 1983, programs to support democratic development essentially did not exist. Given a mission but not a roadmap, the Institute built its practice from scratch, creating a unique international network of political practitioners dedicated to sharing their democratic experiences and ideas with other nascent democracies.

Washington, DC – The National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI) issued the following statement ahead of Ghana’s general elections, scheduled to take place on Monday, December 7, 2020:
Dakar, Senegal. -- Local, legislative, and presidential elections scheduled in 2022 and 2024 present a unique opportunity for Senegal to consolidate its democracy by bolstering citizen confidence and participation in the electoral process.
