National Democratic Institute has published the results of the survey of the ratings of political parties and leaders. According to the research, Minister of Defense Irakli Alasania and the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili are the most popular government leaders in Georgia with a 72 percent approval rating each, while 61 percent rate the Georgian Dream Coalition as the “party” closest to them.

Security and Political Partisanship Rank Among Libyans’ Foremost Concerns

One year after the election of Libya’s General National Congress (GNC), citizens there are expressing increasing frustration about the country’s persistent insecurity and want leaders to address that issue, according to a new public opinion study conducted by NDI. The study reveals a widespread belief that a proliferation of weapons, lack of security, partisanship and corruption are holding back Libya’s political transition.
