Request for Proposals (RFP) - Public Opinion Research in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2025 - 2026

NDI seeks to contract a public opinion research firm to conduct multiple rounds of quantitative and qualitative research in the period from January 2025 - December 2026. The Institute’s team and external experts hired by NDI will support the selected firm in the research design. During that process the precise objectives, timeline, sample size, and scope of the research will be discussed and finalized with the successful bidder, based on program needs and requirements.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s October 2022 elections

Ethnic identity and related political grievances pre-dominated at the ballot box on October 2, as before, but other political voices broke through. While final, certified results in some of the races are pending, NDI staff in Sarajevo and Banja Luka below go through the outcomes and offer key take-aways of what the elections signal for the democratization agenda in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

BiH LOCAL ELECTIONS 2020 – Tectonic Changes or Taking Positions for the Elections in 2022

In the local elections held on November 15, after 20 years in power in Sarajevo Canton and Banja Luka, SDA (Party of Democratic Action) lost most of the mayoral positions in Sarajevo Canton municipalities. SNSD (Alliance of the Independent Social Democrats) also lost the mayoral position in Banja Luka.
