Study on women’s political participation: Women’s political participation is critical to ensuring that a democracy is representative and inclusive, yet the full participation of women in Guatemalan politics remains a challenge. To better understand women’s participation and the barriers they face to enter politics, NDI supported the development of a study on women in elected and nominated political positions in 2016.

Acción Ciudadana Final Report: Long-Term Observation of Electoral Violence

Acción Ciudadana final report on the long-term observation on electoral violence and campaign spending in 20 municipalities: During 2015 elections, the Guatemalan chapter of Transparency International, Citizen Action Acción Ciudadana (AC), organized a long-term observation in 20 municipalities that were identified as having experienced high levels of electoral violence during past elections.
