Discriminación y violencia impiden participación política de personas LGBTI en Honduras

La participación política de las personas lesbianas, gays, bisexuales, trans e intersexo (LGBTI) y la violencia, representan uno de los retos más significativos que tiene en la actualidad el movimiento LGBTI en el país y en América Latina en general, de acuerdo con la investigación “Reflexiones sobre la participación política de las personas LGBTI en Honduras”, la cual reafirma que la participacion de este sector poblacional en política, es un derecho humano.

Citizen Perceptions on Insecurity and Victimization in Honduras

A 2016 public perceptions survey on insecurity and victimization conducted by the Institute for Democracy, Peace, and Security (Instituto Universitario en Democracia Paz y Seguridad, IUDPAS) of the Autonomous University of Honduras (Universidad Autónoma de Honduras, UNAH), with technical assistance from NDI. The national study was conducted in all of Honduras' 18 departments between February and March 2016 and included a total of 1,192 interviews.
