Joint IRI/NDI Delegation in Zimbabwe Issues Preliminary Election Statement, Too Early to Make Assessment on Nature of Elections

Harare, Zimbabwe - Today, the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) joint election observation mission delegation released its preliminary statement on Zimbabwe’s presidential, parliamentary, and local government elections.

NDI/IRI 2018 Zimbabwe Observer Delegation Issues Post-Election Preliminary Statement

This Preliminary Statement is offered by the joint International Republican Institute (IRI) and National Democratic Institute (NDI) Zimbabwe International Election Observation Mission (ZIEOM) to the 2018 harmonized elections. The election is presently incomplete; the ZIEOM will, therefore, continue its observation and may issue further statements as warranted.

Result of June 2018 Public Opinion Polls in Georgia

NDI surveys public opinion to help Georgian stakeholders diagnose and address issues of public concern by providing accurate, unbiased and statistically-sound data. This poll aims to capture the most relevant information to foster the development of responsive policies and governance. A wide range of leaders from across the political spectrum have reported that the polls are important to their work and encourage continued polling.

NDI Poll: Heading into the Presidential Election, Georgians Concerned about Country’s Direction, Economy, and Environment; Dissatisfied with Political Options

TBILISI – Poll results released today by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and CRRC Georgia show growing dissatisfaction about the state of the country’s economy, environment, and political climate going into the presidential election. 62 percent of citizens believe the country is going in the wrong direction compared to only 29 percent saying the right direction.
