Statement on the Arrest Warrant Issued by the Hong Kong Government Against Staff Member Joey Siu
The National Democratic Institute (NDI) has been informed of the issuance of an arrest warrant for Joey Siu, an esteemed NDI colleague and a prominent civil society activist, along with four other pro-democracy activists. This action by the Hong Kong government follows recent arrest warrants issued against eight other distinguished Hong Kong democracy activists living abroad.

NDI/IRI Will Deploy Joint Technical Assessment Team to the January 7 Elections in Bangladesh
Washington, D.C.- The International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) will deploy a joint team to Bangladesh to conduct a limited technical assessment of electoral violence conditions before, during, and after the country’s January 7, 2024 parliamentary elections. The team will include five long-term analysts who will stay in Bangladesh for six to eight weeks.
