NDI responds to questions about the ARP Internship Program
On Friday, March 19, 2021, His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari received the National Working Group of the Supporting the Advance of Gender Equality (SAGE) initiative in Nigeria to celebrate International Women’s Day and discuss women’s political representation in Nigeria.
Following the defeat of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in late 2017, local governments in affected provinces struggled to rebuild their communities, leading to decision-makers overlooking the needs of Iraqi women.

On June 18, 2021, 59 million Iranians will be eligible to vote in the country's Thirteenth Presidential and Sixth City and Village Council elections. These elections will also include runoff elections for the Parliament and Assembly of Records. There is speculation that this presidential election could serve as a bellwether for an eventual transfer of power to a new Supreme Leader.
