The joint Nigeria International Election Observation Mission of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI) released its final report on the 2019 Nigerian elections. The final report is a comprehensive analysis of the electoral process and includes important recommendations ahead of Nigeria’s 2023 general elections.

The National Democratic Institute (NDI, or the Institute) announced today the start of a virtual election analysis mission ahead of the anticipated legislative council and presidential elections in the Palestinian Territories, respectively scheduled for May 22 and July 31, 2021.

This preliminary statement is offered by the joint international Election Observation Mission (EOM) of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI) to Tunisia’s presidential runoff election on October 13.

On May 18, founding NDI board of directors member and long-time board secretary Marvin Weissberg passed away at age 94, surrounded by his family. Marvin had served on NDI's board for many years, and was an outspoken advocate for human rights, human dignity and progress.

ABIDJAN – The National Democratic Institute (NDI) is fielding an international delegation at the invitation of the Ivorian government to assess preparations for Cote d’Ivoire’s 2015 presidential election. The group, which will arrive Dec. 8 and is being welcomed by all Ivorian political parties, includes political and civic leaders, and election and regional experts from North America, Europe and Africa.

WASHINGTON, DC—The National Democratic Institute (NDI) will field a pre-election assessment mission for the May 25 presidential election in Ukraine.

The mission, which will be in Ukraine April 7-11, seeks to demonstrate the interest of the international community in the development of the country’s democratic political process and offer an impartial assessment of the political environment.
