A delegation of multiple parties welcomed the President Asif Ali Zardari's announcement on Aug. 14, 2009 about political reforms in FATA and said that all political parties which they represented had arrived at a consensus on these reforms and urged the President to implement them as soon as possible.

Governor Masood Kausar Monday said that consensus among political forces on vital national issues was a very positive and encouraging development, adding that it would help resolve the outstanding issues. He said he appreciated the efforts of the NDI towards reforms in Fata and assured it of his support and cooperation in this regard.
